Talisman Mining has commenced an initial five hole, reverse circulation drilling program at the Kerba prospect within its 80% owned Livingston project in Western Australia.
Drilling is designed to test three electro-magnetic anomalies over a broad, Voisey's Bay style magmatic nickel copper platinum target.
The three modelled electromagnetic plates are coincident in part with a 1.8 kilometer nickel copper platinum in soil anomaly and sit above an interpreted mafic-ultramafic intrusion along the major regional Kerba Fault Zone.
The electromagnetic responses may indicate disseminated sulphides at a depth of around 100 meters and vector the presence of massive sulphide mineralization at greater depths.
Upon completion, down-hole electromagnetic surveying will be conducted to refine further drilling targets.
Talisman is also currently drilling at the Lovejoy prospect within its Springfield copper gold project which lies 4 kilometers along strike from Sandfire Resources' massive DeGrussa copper and gold mine.
