JAKARTA -- Mining company PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTM; ANTAM) announces that it has opened a Representative Office in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, supporting and expanding sales activities in the Asian country mainly for itsferronickel, alumina and coal products.

 

“We expect the new Shanghai Representative Office will expand sales activities of our ferronickel, alumina and coal products. Furthermore, the office will also provide easier and faster access for partnership opportunities and financing access with the Chinese companies," said

 

ANTAM’s President Director Tato Miraza in a press release Friday 17 January 2014. ANTAM’s Shanghai Representative Office will serve as marketing representative office for the China region. The state-controlled miner may leverage its presence in the country for future fund raising activities as well as management of its relationships with Chinese companies, including in the area of technology, in developing ANTAM’s vast reserves and resources through construction of processing and refinery facilities in Indonesia.

 

The Shanghai Representative Office is ANTAM’s second representative office abroad after Tokyo, Japan. ANTAM’s Shanghai Representative Office is located at Rm6058, 6/F, 21 Century Tower, 210 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai 200120, People ’s Republic of China.
