[Ferro-alloys.com] The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has delayed antidumping duties on imports of European solar grade polysilicon. While the country has levied steep duties on South Korean and US material in mid-2013, it is not apparent if and when such duties will also be placed on EU polysilicon import. The MOC did not initially and explicitly define what silicon grade the Chinese government considers ’solar grade.’ In July of 2013, the EU also initiated a price undertaking for various Chinese solar panel producers. Just this month, the US was looking to further extend its investigation on Chinese solar panel producers, including imports from Taiwan over 20 micrometers.
