It is reported that China large and medium sized steel enterprises with 3 million tonnes to 5 million tonnes of annual output will see an energy resource control center built by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China in the coming 5 to 8 years.

Mr Yang Tiesheng an official of MIIT said that the new built center will realize the energy monitoring and adjustment by using the network communication and step controlled technology. To steel enterprises, he says, popularization of the new technology is expected to enhance the resource utilization rate by 1% to 3%, a considerable volume. Moreover, the center owns a wide potential application in petrochemical and building material fields.

As per report, the main driver behind Chinese economic high-speed growth is manufacturing. Molly Webb, the project majordomo of ICT, notes that, the electric machine's power consumption accounts for 70% of total industrial consumption, but its utilization rate, which compared with Western Countries, is 20% lower.

Chinese industrial departments will save 10% of energy resources by 2020, which can reduce 0.2 billion tonnes of Co2 emission. Mr Yang said the power consumption in making electric machine accounts for 60% of industrial electricity, and if the electric efficiency increases by 2% each year, China will save 30 billion kilowatt per hour of electricity in a year.
