It is reported that China's housing project for low-income urban residents is listed to be one of the ten measures to stimulate economy increase.

 

A related principal with NDRC said, the housing project can not only improve the habitation environment for low income urban residents but also drive the development of related industries as well as laying the foundation for domestic demand expansion in the future.

 

According to the statistics quoted by the principle, low-cost housing with a total investment of CNY 7.5 billion will consume 650,000 tonnes steel products and 500,000 tonnes cement. Besides, infrastructure alteration projects of shanty area with investment of CNY 1.7 billion are going to consume 20,000 tonnes cast iron, 100,000 tonnes steel products and 300,000 tonnes cement.

 

Chinese government issued such ten measures as housing project to spur domestic demand last month and decided to invest CNY 100 billion in Q4. Among others, CNY 10 billion is used for the housing construction, which is useful for both real estate industry and its related industries.
