JSW Steel has opened one exclusive steel retail outlet in Hyderabad and three such showrooms in West Bengal in association with its authorised distributors. The showrooms in West Bengal are in Kolkata, Maldah and Sainthia. JSW said plans were on to acquire a pan-India presence with 600 outlets. These shops are exclusive outlets that display and sell all products of JSW Steel ranging from hot rolled to colour coated steel along with long products. The aim is to offer steel products through a branded distribution channel. The company has seven outlets in Uttar Pradesh, six each in Karnataka and Maharashtra, four in Tamil Nadu, three in West Bengal, two each in Rajasthan and Haryana and one each in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Punjab. Mr Gopi Krishna, Associate Vice-President-Sales, JSW Steel, said, “The concept of the shops originates from the fact that we want customers to get the right quality of product at the right price and at the right place.” –Business Line
