[Ferro-Alloys.com] China’s imports of zinc ore and concentrate saw a marked decline in July to reach the lowest level since 2007 amid depressed demand from smelters and rising domestic output.
Inbound shipments dropped 25.58 percent on the month to 111,349 tons, show customs data released Tuesday. The decline is reflected in output data, which showed zinc production falling to a year low of 367,600, down 12.75 percent from June.
