[Ferro-Alloys.com] Japan exported 62,041 tons of stainless steel flat products in August, rising by 1.45% from a month ago while falling by 6.6% year on year, according to the statistics released by the Japan’s Ministry of Finance.
In August, China was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel flat products with 12,664 tons, falling by 15.1%; South Korea was the second largest one with 10,744 tons, slumping by 47.2%, both compared to that in the same period of a year ago.
In the first eight months of this year, the country’s exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 529,399 tons, decreasing by 13.7% in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
