[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to statistics, Thailand imported 198,243 tons of scraps in August, slumping by 4.3 times year on year while jumping by 50.9% from a month earlier.

In August, Australia was the largest scrap exporter to Thailand with 57,000 tons and the US was the second largest one with 52,000 tons.

In the first eight months of this year, the country’s scrap imports amounted to 1.366 million tons, rising by 9.9% year on year.

In the given period of time, the US was the largest scrap exporter to Thailand with 379,000 tons, falling by 31.8%; Australia was the second largest one with 179,000 tons, increasing by 87%; Hong Kong was the third largest one with 85,000 tons, jumping by 190.8%, all compared to that in the same period of the previous year.
