[Ferro-Alloys.com] Julio César Villarreal Guajardo, the President of Villacero says the domestic steel industry will have a growth of 15% in 2013, boosted by the strong demand from domestic sectors such as home appliance, industrial equipment and heavy vehicles.
The president said the international price is stable by somehow and he expects the steel demand will recover again after the big falling between 2009 and 2010.
He also noted that the domestic steel demands is around 80 to 85 % to the country´s installed production capacity but it should be increased to 90 to 95%.
He also said the National Chamber of Iron and Steel Industry (Canacero) is doing a series of studies in order to introduce new investment for the country´s steel industry.
However, Villacero’s president said his company won´t have big projects next year.
