[Ferro-Alloys.com]It’s reported that the Australian miner BHP Billiton said it would plan to increase capacity about a fifth as well as implementing cost cuts.

The company believes that it will improve the existing infrastructure including harbors, railways and mines that will help the company to lift up the capacity without big investment.

BHP plans to raise the iron ore annual capacity to 260 million tons with first capacity rise to 220 million tons in 2014.
