[Ferro-Alloys.com]Reuters reported that two Chinese companies have concluded deal to build a rail line, a steel plant and a sea port in Cambodia worth USD11.2 billion.
Cambodia Iron and Steel Mining Industry Group on Monday has contracted China Railway Group to build a rail way.
All three projects are estimated to complete in four years.
Meanwhile, this deal also signifies China’s footprint into the frontier economies of a booming Southeast Asia.
Loans and investment have also won China some useful political allies in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
