Cobalt prices softened slightly on relatively little business last week. A small contingent of traders continues to press for lower prices. They reported receiving offers from China at $13.20 per lb for high-grade and $12.75 for low grade. The US market was relatively free of hype. Offer prices for 99.8% Co held at $14.25-14.50 per lb, and sales were reported at close to $14.50. Prices for 99.3% Co slipped to $13.75-14.10 per lb compared to $13.80-14.25.
