New York officials say an upstate company is adding 80 jobs.
Feldmeier (FELD'-my-uhr) Equipment makes stainless steel storage and processing equipment. It will build a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its site in Herkimer County's Little Falls.
The Cuomo administration is giving the company a $200,000 grant and a tax break of $550,000 to stay.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the deal will save nearly 300 jobs the company said could have gone out of state.
The announcement comes as the high unemployment rate outside New York City ticked down to 6.8 percent, from 6.9 percent. That's the lowest unemployment rate outside New York City since January 2009.
The state's unemployment rate remained at 7.5 percent in July, unchanged from the previous month.
