[Ferro-Alloys.com] Brazil’s exports of bauxite, aluminium and alumina fell in August, according to the country’s trade ministry.

 

Bauxite Bauxite exports from Brazil fell 25.6% year-on-year in August to 662,647 tonnes, with the USA and Ireland reducing purchases. The exports were also down sharply from 949,860 tonnes shipped in July 2013. Export revenue in August stood at $27.02 million, compared with $38.75 million a year earlier. The USA decreased its imports to 231,110 tonnes, from 430,006 tonnes in August 2012.
