Silicon metal price kept flat after National Day in China. Price in Fujian increased by RMB 200/mt, because electricity price was turned up. Silicon metal market functioned well after National Day. More than 80% silicon metal stoves were functioning now.

Si metal export price turned flat after National Day, and it was much higher than last month. Affected by Chinese market in September, export price also increased. Chinese silicon metal price stopped increasing and export price turned steady.

In the US, Si553# price was 144-147 cents/lb. European Si 553# price were EUR 2200/mt.

The market in China still continued to rise after mid-September, and now rose by CNY700 - CNY1,000 per ton from the end of August.

According to statistic of Customs, China exported 556,121 tons of silicon metal in Jan.-August, up by 25.51% Y-O-Y. Silicon metal export price was high in August, and export volume was 81000 tons. It was equal with last month.

Si metal prices kept tending upward in September in China. And Si metal price remained firm in late September . Operating rate in Yunnan, Xinjiang, Fujian and Gansu was about 80%,higher than last month.

Metallurgical Si metal price remained firm in the last week of September in China. And Chemical si metal price tended up. Some factories changed capacity to silicon metal.

Si metal price tended steady before National Day in China. Si3303# increased slightly. Now customers had begun to buy silicon metal before China National Day (1st to 7th of October).
