China steel imports down 22.4% YoY in Jan-Aug, 2021.

The country reported the first year-on-year contraction in crude steel output in late July since the start of 2021, eyeing a 3.03-percent decrease.

China's crude steel production declined last month, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The output in late July also dropped 3.97 percent from that in mid-July, the association said.

In the week ending on August 28, 2021, US domestic raw steel production was 1,873,000 net tons.

World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 161.7 million tonnes (Mt) in July 2021.

In the week ending on August 14, 2021, domestic raw steel production was 1,869,000 net tons.
