Mongolia exported a total of 3.8 million tons of coal in the first four months of this year, down 48 percent year on year, Mongolian Customs General Administration said on Monday.

In the first quarter, the coal production enterprises in Shaanxi province continued the output growth trend at the end of last year.

The output jumped 14.8 percent year-on-year to 396 million tons last month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

The growth rate was 3.1 percentage points higher than that of December 2021, the bureau said.

Yulin's coal output exceeded 0.55 billion tons in 2021 for the first time to 0.552 billion tons, up 6.2% YoY.
