The 2101 ferrosilicon contract price on ZCE closed at 6180 yuan per ton on November 19.

The first export consignment is scheduled to leave the Chattogram port, some 242 km southeast of the capital Dhaka, on Nov. 21, the company said in a statement.

This week, the ferrosilicon market is still running stably, higher cost and tight spot and the downstream demand side is also strong, the confidence of ferrosilicon manufacturers is good.

American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that steel import permit applications for the month of October totaled 1,643,000 net tons (NT)*.
