A new low-carbon ferrochrome project has commenced trial operations at SOHAR Freezone, bolstering Oman¡¯s credentials as a regional ferrochrome production powerhouse.

Sohar Port and Freezone on Sunday signed a land lease agreement with Starsun Sohar (FZC) to establish a recycling plant dedicated to the sustainable management of lead-acid batteries in Sohar Freezone.

Gulf Alloys and Metals (FZC) LLC began a trial run of its 10,000 tpa capacity ferrochrome alloy plant.

The total trading volume of 2403 contract on the exchange was 86123 lots, with a turnover of about 2857.4746 million yuan.
