[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that the US Department of Commerce has imposed import duties on imports of steel threaded rod from India.
The DOC said the imports were made using unfair government subsides and sold at less than normal value in the US market.
In its final ruling, the DOC said imports of the rod were valued at an estimated US$19 million in 2013. The imports will have to face a dumping margin of 16.74% to 119.87% and a subsidy rate of 8.6%.
Among them, Mangal Steel Enterprises Limited and Babu Exports received final dumping margins of 16.74% and 119.87%, respectively. All other producers and exporters in India will face a final dumping margin of 16.74%.
