[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that India’s JSW Steel imported its first iron ore shipment of 170,000 tons last week from South Africa. 

According to the company, there will be three more shipments of iron ore will come in the next few days.

In fact, the steelmakers in the country have been seeking overseas supplies of iron ore because the tight supply at home. JSW Steel said it will import around 6 million tons of high-grade iron ore in the current fiscal.

The company is mainly importing ore with Fe content of 65% from South Africa and Canada
