[Ferro-alloys.com]On the afternoon of July 30th,2014, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC announced that Mr Chen Derong would be appointed new general manager of Baosteel Group Corp. ,the best steel company of China. Chen Derong was Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Committee of Zhejiang and Secretary of Wenzhou Party Committee. This was surprising because precedent general mangers of Baosteel Group usually came from internal promotion. Chen Derong once worked in Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group Company for many years. It was predicted that Chen Derong would focus on Ningbo Steel Department of Baosteel Group after this appointment. Ningbo Steel must adjust about 4 million mt of steel capacity and it was faced with much environmental difficulty.
