[Ferro-alloys.com] As most magnesium ingots consumers had completed purchases of September in late August and some magnesium ingot producers were again on the track of operation, supply was improving, but the prices kept stable.  Mainstream Shaanxi Mg99.90% price stayed at RMB14,450-14,500/mt(USD2,354-2,362/mt), non-pickling ex-work tax-inclusive price in cash, the same as last week.

European dealers gradually went into the market for purchases, with increasing numbers of enquiries. But the non-tax-inclusive exported materials affected the deals of legal exported materials. Chinese magnesium ingots were mainly exported to the EU market. Export market of magnesium ran smoothly. Export price of magnesium ingot 99.90% remained USD 2,450-2,500/mt, FOB at Tianjin port. European magnesium ingot 99.90% remained USD 2,650-2,700/mt.US magnesium 99.90% price stabilized at USD1.90-2.25/lb.

Analysis: FeSi75# as one main raw material for production of magnesium ingots had potential for stability before mid September in China, but European dealers were expected to show stronger purchase activity. Both domestic and export prices of Chinese magnesium ingots had potential for slight increases in mid September.
