[Fellow]It is reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) of Vietnam will impose a new tariff on stainless steel product imports from four Asian countries including China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia.
[Ferro-Alloys.com] It’s reported that the Japanese steelmakers have started the fourth-quarter price negotiation for tinplate with the Asian buyers recently.

The Japanese steelmakers are mulling to raise tinplate export prices by around US$5/ton for the fourth quarter after decreasing the prices by US$5/ton for the third quarter.

It’s said that the Japanese mills may face difficulty to raise prices. However, the tinplate demand is forecasted to remain stable during the quarter as the request from Southeast Asian buyers remains firm recently.
