[Fellow]It is reported that nickel pig iron output in China may reach 440,000 tonnes this year, dropping by 9% YoY.

It is reported that nickel pig iron output in China may reach 440,000 tonnes this year, dropping by 9% YoY.

China’s stainless steel mills cut their operation because of price plunge in nickel pig iron in September. Therefore, nickel pig iron suppliers were suffering a loss of 20% in the end of October. Nickel pig iron is a low cost substitute for refined nickel.
