On April 16, Thompson Creek Metals Company inc., a resource company in the U.S. released its preliminary figures of production and sales volumes of molybdenum in the period from January to March in 2015, but there was no production of molybdenum because both of Thompson Creek mine and Endako mine were shut down in that period.

Meanwhile, the sales volume in a total of Thompson Creek mine and Endako mine was 4.3 million lbs, grossly down by 56% from 9.85 million lbs (only at both mines) of the year-earlier period. 

The breakdown of sales was 2.1 million lbs from Thompson Creek mine, 0.4 million lbs from Endako mine and 1.8 million lbs from the third-party source.
