[Ferro-Alloys.com] Japan’s steel product orders, including specialty steels ordered by the domestic steel consuming sectors totaled 6.02 million tons in April, up by 2.6% from a month ago and dropping by 0.7% year on year, according to statistic released by the Japan Iron and Steel Association (JISF).
Meanwhile, the steel product orders booked by the domestic construction sector totaled 3.5 million tons in April, down by 8.3%; that ordered by the domestic automotive sector was at 677,000 tons, decreasing by 10.2%, that ordered by the domestic shipbuilding sector totaled 379,000 tons, up by 4.5%; all compared to the figures in the same month of 2014.
