According to source reported that Indonesia Government said it will continue to ban nickel ore exports. Indonesia banned export of raw metal ore in early 2014, in order to force local enterprises to establish a smelter, as the results of the loss of billions dollars revenue last year.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Economy Ministry noted that Indonesia will carry out mining policy.

Before the export ban, Indonesia is the world's biggest nickel exporter, but also China's largest supplier. If Indonesia restart nickel ore exports, it will be damaged and impact Philippine and other countries as well.
