[Ferro-Alloys.com] A nationally recognized solar panel company teamed up with Jobs for Jacksonians to recruit for employees in Jackson Thursday morning.

Dozens of people packed a room at the Metrocenter Mall to learn more about the opportunities available with Seraphim Solar System. Currently, the company has 90 slots open for solar panel production operators. Other openings include, engineering jobs, security guard and warehouse manager positions. Jobs for Jacksonians Coordinator Jonathan Barnett says Seraphim is one of many companies committed to hiring Jackson residents.

"It’s something that is definitely needed here and it’s something what we work on a daily and weekly basis with this jobs program. We've worked very hard to make sure we have companies scheduled on our calendar to come on in here and hire Jacksonians,” says Barnett

Seraphim Solar is expected to open in Jackson within the next couple of months. The company expects to hire 250 people over the next five years. Barnett says the Production Operator position pays $12 to $16 an hour and the Warehouse Manager job pays $18 to $20 an hour.
