[www.ferro-alloys.com] It is reported that USA’s Department of Commerce (DOC) proposed a preliminary duties against welded stainless pressure pipes imported from India, saying that the goods were being dumped in the US market at below market prices.
The decision follows a complaint made last year by local producers Bristol Metals, Synalloy Corp, Outokumpu Stainless Pipe, Felker Brothers Corp and Marcegalia USA.
DOC has calculated dumping margins is around 18.9%, and asked USA’s Customs to collect cash deposits of up to 16.9% from importers until the case is decided. The final decision will be made by 17 September, 2016.
