[Ferro-Alloys.com]According to the import statistics of Taiwan, the import volume of major ferroalloys in February 2016 was 54,565 tons, down by 18.0% from 66,522 tons in the prior month.
The import of many items was at a low level in February partly because the working days for unloading operation were reduced due to Chinese New Year Holidays (7th to 12th of February).
As to import by item, the import of high-carbon ferro-manganese made a recovery from reduction in the prior month and the import of low-carbon ferro-chrome made a sharp increase, whereas the import of ferro-silicon (Si>55%), silico manganese, high-carbon ferro-chrome and ferro-nickel was down, which led to the total import volume of ferroalloys being down from the prior month.
