[www.ferro-alloys.com]Ferro-molybdenum and molybdic oxide prices saw more marked declines on Friday June 17, as consumer deals were reported at lower levels.
Although overall activity was muted, at least some material changed hands, pushing European 65% ferro-molybdenum prices down to $18.35-19.10 per kg, from $18.70-19.30 previously, and drummed oxide prices down to $7.70-8 per lb, from $8-8.15. However, the falls in prices in recent days have not been as pronounced or as rapid as those witnessed earlier this year. "The problem is, you don’t have large volumes. You still have traders willing to jump in and buy one cheaper container [but that’s it]," a trader said.
