With LME nickel price rebounding and stainless steel increasing, Tang Eng has taken a turn for the better last year, gaining net profit RMB502,000,000 after tax in the whole year last year, net profit RMB1.44 per share after tax.

Cai Ronghua, the subsidiary general manager and spokesman of Tang Eng, ascribes the thriving to increase of regular customers, stronger purchasing wills, advanced steel-making equipment and flexible marketing system.

    Looking forward to the future, Cai is positive about the market outlook. In his opinion, with steel supply decreasing resulting from the overcapacity cutting in the mainland and integration in steel industry, as well as higher cost of environmental protection to the steel factories due to severer environmental policies in the mainland, there may be balance between supply and demand of steel, thus price of stainless steel can be supported.
