Import Quotas on Steel imposed by Turkey

Turkey will present quotas on the measure of steel it imports from Oct. 17, with an extra 25 percent obligation on any imports over the quantities, it said in a filing published by the World Trade Organization on Monday, faulting a flood in imports.

It said it had started researching the case for emergency "safeguard" measures in April, after U.S. President Donald Trump implied a 25 percent tax on steel. That, and resulting exchange limitations in different nations, including the European Union, India and Indonesia, had redirected steel towards Turkey.
