[ferro-alloys.com]Recently, the index of non-agriculture increased in U.S. So, the index of U.S dollar used to go down. However, due to Coronavirus, many countries were suffering economic losses. Some investors might purchase U.S dollar to avoid risk. So, the index of U.S dollar went up. Relatively, LME nickel price went down. On last Friday, it was quoted at 12830 USD/T. It was 270 USD/T lower than the price on last trading day. Due to spreading of Coronavirus, the domestic plants were affected. The demand for future nickel was insufficient. So, the price of future nickel remained in lower level. Today, compared with Shanghai future nickel 2003 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was from 0 to 200 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1100-1500 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 106000 RMB/T. It was the same as the price on last Friday.  

Due to spreading of Coronavirus, the productions of domestic stainless-steel plants were influenced, and the demand for raw material was also affected. The price of ferronickel remained in lower level. Today, the price of high-grade ferronickel was 960-970 RMB/Nickel, and the price of low-grade ferronickel was 3300-3450 RMB/T.
