Ferro-alloys.com:On January 7, Chile’s central bank said on Thursday that the country’s trade surplus in December last year was US$1.423 billion, driven by the soaring value of copper exports. The bank said that in December last year, copper export revenue rose 6.7% to 3.747 billion US dollars. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chile's huge copper mine basically maintained production and became a key source of export revenue. Chile is the world's largest copper producer.
