In December last year, German pig iron production reached 2.23 million tons, an increase of 9.8%. In 2020, overall production fell by 12% year-on-year to 22.46 million tons.
In December last year, China's hot-rolled steel production increased by 15.7% to 2.63 million tons, while total output in 2020 fell by 9.8% to 30.95 million tons, both of which were compared with the same period of the previous year.
