[Fellow]Ukraine's steel pipe production fell by 16.3% in 2020

Ferro-alloys.com:According to local media reports, the unfavorable market environment and the severe decline in demand for pipelines for oil and gas extraction have led to a 16.3% drop in Ukraine’s total steel pipe production in 2020. Therefore, in 2020, Ukrainian steel mills produced 854,000 metric tons of steel pipes. In particular, the output of steel pipes used in oil and gas development was 15.01 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 59.8%, which was the year with the largest decline in output among other steel pipe products in 2020.

At the same time, Ukraine’s steel pipe production last year fell by 20.9% year-on-year to 469,000 tons, while the Deniporsky Pipe Plant only produced 300,000 tons of steel pipes. At the same time, the pipeline output of Trubostal and Centravis decreased by 42.9% and 9.3%, respectively, to 1,600 tons and 19,050 tons in 2020. It is understood that the total output of steel pipes produced by Ukraine Ilyich SW in 2020 was 151,600 tons, a decrease of 4.2% year-on-year, while DMZ Kominmet's steel pipe production increased by 12.2% year-on-year to 164,600 tons in 2020.
