According to China Metallurgical International, China Metallurgical International construction of the first section of the Indonesian OBI ferronickel project has officially started on January 25.
The OBI ferronickel project in Indonesia is located in the OBI Island mining area of North Maluku Province, with a construction period of 400 days. Eight RKEF ferronickel production lines were designed by fire process, with an annual production capacity of 900,000 tons. The construction of the first section of the project includes 4 production lines, including: main building, process equipment, automation control, plant road, public auxiliary facilities and other civil construction and installation, as well as test run, transportation and other engineering content.
