Starting with Yindong project, six years later, another "power artery" in Ningxia, Lingwu ± 800 kV HVDC transmission project (Lingwu, Ningxia Shaoxing, Zhejiang) was completed. As the first operation project of "accelerating the construction of 12 key transmission channels in the air pollution prevention and control action plan" in China, the accumulated power transmission to Zhejiang has exceeded 165 billion kwh since its operation. At present, it is also in the extreme load operation state, and the energy utilization rate ranks first in the UHV direct current project in China.
In the past 10 years, Ningxia's power transmission has expanded from Qinghai, Tibet and Shandong to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei and Hunan. Ningdian, one of the earliest important transmission terminals of the national "west to East power transmission" project, has achieved a 10 billion step-by-step growth for five consecutive years during the 13th Five Year Plan period, with an average annual growth rate of 26.8%.
