POSCO Assan TST Makes First Shipment of Stainless Coil

Turkey-based stainless steel producing joint venture of South Korean steelmaker POSCO and Turkey's Assan Celik POSCO Assan TST has shipped its first 1.5 mm stainless coil on July 14.

The first customers of the company were Budinoks and Nickel Stainless Steel.

The POSCO Assan TST stainless steel plant, which had started production in previous weeks, has a capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year in its first phase. The company aims to reach an annual output capacity of 400,000 tonnes of stainless steel in the coming period.
