[ferro-alloys.com] The actual result of demand and supply for ferroalloys in Korea in May 2013 which was compiled by Korea Iron and Steel Association is as per the table below.

This table showed the production volume of entire ferroalloys in May 2013 was 46,978 tonnes, up by 2.6% from 45,792 tonnes of the prior month. The quantity shipped was 37,465 tonnes, down by 10.8% from the prior month and its breakdown was For export: 17,414 tonnes (down by 19.9% from the prior month) and For domestic consumption: 20,051 tonnes (down by 1.0% ditto).

The increase in production arose from high carbon ferro manganese and silico manganese, and the decrease in quantity shipped arose from silico manganese meant for export being drastically down by 80.6% from the prior month.
