Due to the slow demand and reducing orders, the production cut by Southeast Asia’s main stainless steel mills is expected to be around 50 percent.

The raw materials purchasing will have a great impact due to the stainless steel output cut down. During the past few months, China, Taiwan, Korea and India’s mills were forced to cancel or re-negotiate the raw materials price.

Meanwhile, scrap suppliers are facing a hard time, as the demand is decreasing but the supply is increasing.
