[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that Posco announced to cut its steel production later this month as part of its strategies to fight against the dropping steel prices on the economic recession.
According to Posco, it will not be fully operating its plants in late October to prevent prices of steel products from falling further, but it will not stop running blast furnaces.
POSCO operates two electric furnaces that produce 900,000 tons of hot rolled steel plates each, occupying 7.6% of its entire production.
