Newcastle Port Sep Coal Exports 3 MT

[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to Newcastle Port Corporation, in the week ended October 1, coal shipments from the Port of Newcastle in Queensland, the coal producing state of Australia, totaled 3 million tonnes.
 
The figure constitutes an 18.7% increase compared to the previous week, following a WoW decrease of 13.8% recorded in the week ended September 24.
 
In September this year, Newcastle port exported 9.04 million tonnes of thermal and coking coal, below the port authority forecast of a total 10.9 million tonnes for the whole of September.
