China Mining reported that China's Tongling Nonferrous late targets producing 1.2 million tonnes of refined copper in 2013 up 33% from realized output of 904,600 tonnes in 2012.
The company started up a new 400,000 tonnes per year copper plant in Tongling on February 18, lifting its total refined copper capacity to 1.2 million tonnes per year from from 800,000 tonnes per year earlier.
The company's 2013 copper concentrate output target is set at 49,100 tonnes up 1% from realized output of 48,400 tonnes in 2012, the Anhui Province based producer said in its annual report filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Tongling plans to produce 147,800 tonnes of copper products in 2013 more than double the 76,400 tonnes it produced in 2012.
Sales revenue in 2012 totaled CNY 77.259 billion up 9% from 2011 while net profit came in at CNY 924 million down 35% YoY. The company attributed the fall in profit to higher finance expenses.
