According to data released by China Customs, China’s exports of finished steel totaled 6.14 million tons in August, soaring by 44.8% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s imports of finished steel were at 1.23 million tons, rising by 2.5% in comparison of the figures in the same month of 2012.
In the first eight months of this year, the country’s exports of finished steel amounted to 41.98 million tons, rising by 17.4% year on year. The imports were at 9.23 million tons, falling by 0.9% year on year.
