Steel prices in Europe are declining on the pressure of aggressive import prices that are supported by a stronger EUR:USD rate at 1.36:1.

Turkish Mills' price on drawing quality wire rod is at around US$610/ton CFR FO Mediterranean but has been beaten by a major Indian steel mill offering at US$605/ton also CFR FO on SAE 1006 for only a 500 tons trial order.

Meanwhile, Turkish mills offer hot rolled coil (HRC) at an aggressive price range US$605/ton to US$610/ton CFR FO for Med ports on steel S235JR with thickness from 1.35mm - 2mm and width 2000mm.

On the other hand, Indian Mills offer HDG at around US$740/ton CFR FO Mediterranean for thickness 1 mm and up with coating mass Z100–Z120.
