Mg Prices Continued to be Flat after National Day Holiday in China

Yulin media reported output of Fugu magnesium reached 212.7 thousand tons in the period of January to August 2014, up 17.7% from the same period of 2013.

After the mid-autumn festival, magnesium ingot prices kept comparatively stable in China. Mainstream Shaanxi Mg99.90% price stayed at RMB14,450-14,500/mt(USD2,356-2,365/mt), non-pickling ex-work tax-inclusive price in cash, the same as last week.

According to statistics of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, output of primary magnesium reached 489.5 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2014 in China, slight increase of 1.96%.

Mg Ingot Prices Stabilized on Steady Supply in China

Magnesium ingot producers said supply remained steady despite some Fugu-based producers conducting summer maintenance over their facilities. This week magnesium ingot producers kept flat offers.

As magnesium producers of top production region-Fugun and Shenmu counties of Shaanxi province were seen with gradual summer maintenance over their facilities. Shanxi and Ningxia producers had kept normal operation
